Lifetime Learners Child Development Center’s FAQ's
Lifetime Learners CDC FAQs
We are currently not confident in the security of Internet monitoring. Also, we believe this type of system infringes on the child’s privacy. We are strong believers in providing children and families with confidentiality and privacy. We utilize a private app for parents to view pictures and video updates.
Yet, we do welcome parents to observe their children within the classroom at any time. We have placed viewing windows in each classroom for your convenience. This also leaves our staff plenty of opportunity to observe and monitor classrooms.
Our top priority is keeping our children safe. All teachers and staff are CPR and First Aid Certified. Our staff is required to undergo training on a regular basis. We have an Emergency Preparedness Plan in place for our school. Fire, evacuation, and natural disaster drills are practiced on a monthly basis. All evacuation routes are displayed in each classroom.

Lifetime Learners CDC Teaching Philosophy FAQs
Lifetime Learners Child Development Center’s goal is to prepare its students to not only excel in school, but to also do extremely well in life. We are preparing our students to be great citizens. Our curriculum is tailored to meet each child’s need physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. We believe all children can learn. At Lifetime Learners Child Development Center we take a special interest in providing an inviting setting that supports the well-rounded lives of children. Our center offers a “hands on” approach to learning in which children from six weeks old to 12 years of age discover, play, and interact with each other within age appropriate classrooms. We foster creativity and encourage children to think for themselves, make decisions, work toward their own solutions, and express their own ideas and feelings. Our teachers embrace the fact that each child is unique and treat each child as an individual with needs and interests that are to be respected and supported through developmentally appropriate activities. We differentiate when teaching and set high expectations for our children. Daily, our young children participate in experiences that promote developmental growth. It is essential for young children to feel successful, learn socialization skills, independence, and form a positive self-image. We have tailored our curriculum specifically for children, taught in a fun, family like setting, nurturing care-giving, and safe environment.
A caregiver may only use positive methods of discipline and guidance that encourage self-esteem, self-control, and self-direction. Discipline will always be individualized and consistent for each child at our center. We will always discipline to teach children acceptable behavior and self-control. We do not allow any form of corporal punishment or threats of corporal punishment. In addition, any punishment associated with food, naps, or toilet training is also prohibited.
Why don’t Lifetime Learners Child Development Center teachers have desks in their rooms? We are proud to say that our excellent teachers are always active in the classroom and take a hands-on approach to learning. Our teachers provide a rich learning environment where they are always involved and constantly interacting with the children.
Lifetime Learners CDC Health & Safety FAQs
All medication must be in its original packing. Medication can only be administered when parents complete the medication form. Please do not leave any medication in your child’s bag. Please help with securing all medications by handing the medication to a member of our management team when you bring your child to school.
Your child’s safety is our top priority. If your child has any food allergies please list this information on the child assessment form during registration. Your child will be added to our school allergy list. Our menu is prepared monthly. Parents will receive a new menu in the beginning of each month. Parents must make substitutions when necessary.
At the first sign of illness, one of our staff members will contact you. We closely follow the minimum standards licenses regulations of Texas on exclusion of children due to health issues. You will be asked to pick up your child, if he or she has any symptoms that are listed under the minimum standards. We often make courtesy calls or write special notes that let you know how your child is feeling. Courtesy calls and notes also give you an opportunity to contact your child’s doctor, pick up your child a little early, or make alternate plans for care the next day if necessary.
Yes, this is a developmental stage that all children go through. Our teachers in the toddler and two year old classrooms work as a team with parents to determine when a child is developmentally ready to begin potty training. When children are ready to begin potty training, they are encouraged to regularly attempt to use the toilet or just to try. As a result of your child success with using the potty, you and your child’s teacher will collaborate on when to move from diapers or pull-ups to training pants. You will receive daily communication about each time your child attempted the potty and his or her success of using the potty.
We purposefully set up our school in this way. Our teachers and children enjoy eating together. This allows a time of bonding and conversation in a familiar space. In addition, our children learn to practice table manners and feed themselves. Our Lifetime Learners are not rushed to finish meals in order to accommodate another group coming in to a lunchroom. Young children benefit from being able to pace their meals in a relaxed environment.
